DWEM has extensive experience with terrestrial ecosystem classification and management. We have conducted site inventories of vegetation and wildlife for sensitive ecosystems within parks, urban settings and harvest blocks. Our strong ecology background provides us with the skill to account for all site values and provide management recommendations that balance ecological, social and economical values.
We have also conducted tree risk assessments and provide abatement recommendations for hazardous trees, as well as management plans for operating around trees targeted for retention. We are certified as Urban Tree Risk Assessors (WCB, ISA) and Wildlife/Danger Tree Assessors for Parks and Recreation and Wildland Fire (WCB, BC Wildlife Tree Committee).
